School Story

LOVED American History and Govt courses, being part (Treas) of both YD's and Oberlin Coop, the dinner discussions that were totally formative, the demonstrations against the war that was privileged to take part in-- and running on XC and track teams. Both the politics and running became activities for a lifetime. The debates between aggressiveness in demonstrations and sit-ins vs take part but also emphasize change within the system remain to this day-- Learned both iterations are critical for change. I so much respect (and took part in) what Matt Rinaldi, Bill Hedges, Les Leopold and others did to lead the demos, recruiters' cars, etc and when they stayed with the cops coming, I felt that I'd need to let them do that part... while I'd try to move the elected officials directly with conversations and some organizing... Same now, 50 years later! Was House Leadership guest at 2019 State of the Union.

Plan to attend the 2023 Cluster Reunion?
